Chairman Lee Receives Gold Tower for First FDA-Approved COVID-19 Kits

Chairman Lee Dong-hyun of Osang Healthcare, who etched the presence of ‘K-Bio’ into the global consciousness with diagnostic kits during the COVID-19 crisis, received the Gold Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit, the highest honor on this year’s ‘Middle Market Enterprises Day’.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources and the Federation of Middle Market Enterprises of Korea (FOMEK), held the 11th ‘Middle Market Enterprises Day Commemorative Ceremony’ at the Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Seoul, on the 1st, awarding medals, commendations, and government citations to 57 middle market entrepreneurs who contributed to industrial development.

Chairman Lee was recognized for securing the first U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Emergency Use Authorization among domestic companies with a self-developed diagnostic kit in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic and enhancing the nation’s quarantine capabilities by supplying it globally.
