Osang Healthcare, a company specializing in in vitro diagnostics, announced on [date] that it will supply its HbA1c analyzer, the “HemoCue® HbA1c 501 System” to the Mexican government’s large-scale public healthcare procurement market through HemoCue AB (hereinafter “HemoCue”), a Danaher company and a leading provider of point-of-care diagnostic solutions.
HemoCue recently received a final notice of award for its HbA1c meter from the Mexican Ministry of Health’s central procurement agency for public medical products. Osang Healthcare announced the signing of a single sales and supply contract after receiving a purchase order (PO) worth approximately $4.39 million (about 6.5 billion won) from HemoCue, and plans to supply devices and cartridges to the Mexican government over the next two years following additional POs from HemoCue.
This project was the result of a comprehensive evaluation of the product’s technical capabilities and cost-effectiveness, with its wide measurement range, high accuracy, the convenience of storing cartridges at room temperature, and a rigorous quality control system serving as key competitive advantages. The product is scheduled to be supplied to medical facilities throughout Mexico, and with the participation of major national healthcare institutions such as IMSS Bienestar, the brand is expected to gain wider recognition across Latin America.
